MyDNAgenealogy.com is a blog and article repository for Drummond Research LLC, a public records research firm founded in 2004 by me, Jaye Drummond. I am a professional genealogist with additional experience in title searching, private investigations, and legal and historical research. I graduated from Louisiana State University in 1997 with a bachelor’s degree in history and have been researching my family's history and others' genealogies since 1989. I plan to pursue certification and a master's degree while endeavoring to balance family life and my genealogy research, both personal and professional.
I reside in Springfield, Ohio, with easy access to regional courthouses and libraries, as well as major genealogical and historical repositories in Columbus and Cincinnati, such as the Columbus Metropolitan Library’s enormous genealogy collection recently acquired from the State Library of Ohio, the Ohio State Library and Archives, and the Cincinnati and Hamilton County Genealogical Library, considered one of the top five collections in the nation. I am also relatively close to the Allen County Public Library in Fort Wayne, Indiana, whose genealogy collection is considered the second best in the Unites States after the Latter Day Saints (LDS) Family History Library. We also have a local LDS Family History Center, so access to the Genealogical Society of Utah’s vast microfilm collection of millions of original documents worldwide is also at my fingertips.
